Project “Rising Star” is a program that promotes a wholistic approach through education and training to give families and individuals access to better jobs, better money management, credit, community resources, and housing through its Job Readiness & Life Skills Classes, Financial Literacy & Management, Health Wellness, Successful Tenancy, and, if desired, Homeownership Programs.

 

We are looking for individuals who want to have quality working resumes; want to increase job skills that will lead to better employment opportunities; increase computer skills, and learn valuable life skills that lead to better money management habits and good credit; form good tenancy relationships; and become homeowners.

Our upcoming job training will include: Industrial Maintenance, Pharmacy Tech, Construction, and Fork Lift Driving Certifications.

 

Modules can be combined with the GED programs if needed and upon completion. We offer job training as an additional module. Introduction to Entrepreneurship is perfect for those wanting to start their own business.

 

All participants must be able to read and write on an 8th-grade level to participate in the job training programs
